Pen Pal Tag

I was tagged for this by Averey and thought that it would be fun to do! Thanks, Averey!

The Rules:

     1. Thank the person who tagged you.
2. Answer the 10 questions.
3. List 5 things you like to do with pen-pals.
4. Tag as many other people as you would like.

The Questions:

     1. When did you start snail mailing?

I got my first pen pal when I was about eleven, but I started writing more girls about two years ago in August.

     2. How many pen pals do you have?

Umm… I have quite a few pen pals, but about four or five of them are faithful writers. 😉

     3. Do you decorate your envelopes?

Sometimes, but the end product never looks like what I had envisioned. *cries*

     4. Themed letters or random?

Random. *laughs*

     5. Do you have pen pals in other countries?

I have one pen pal who lives in Canada. 🙂

     6. Why do you write letters?

There are so-o-o many different reasons. I love that you can make good friendships without even meeting whoever it is your writing. (Which is a plus for me, being so shy). I’ve been so encouraged by all of my pen pals. (You guys are amazing) But I don’t really have one specific reason for writing letters.

     7. Do you write long letters or shorter letters?

Depends. My average length is one or two pages, but it can vary. The longest letter I’ve written is thirty six pages. (I just finished it today, as a matter of fact!)

     8. When do you respond to letters and how quickly?

Again, it depends. Some pen pals take me longer to respond to, but I try to do it within the week or at least two weeks.

     9. Have you ever waited to open letters?

If the letter comes when I’m in the middle of the school, then I almost always wait. I’ve actually forgotten about letters a few times and left them in our basement! But usually I’m too excited to wait. 😉

     10. Do you correspond in foreign languages?

Ha, ha! Nope. I don’t know any other languages well enough to speak in sentences. :/

Five things I like to do with pen pals:

One, I like swapping stories. I love being able to read my friend’s writings and get feedback on my own.

Two, sending/receiving encouragement on various things. Part of who I am now is because of the people in my life and I love hearing what they have to say!

Three, I love exchanging tea! My pen pals always send me such unique flavors!

Four… pictures!!! I love seeing pictures of my pen pals. ❤

Five: stickers are so fun to both trade and get in the mail! I love seeing all the different kinds!

And lastly, everyone I was thinking of tagging was JUST tagged for this, so if you’ve been wanting to do this but haven’t gotten tagged, I tag YOU!

Have a great day, guys!

  1. I don’t know . . . you do an amazing job drawing anchors for a certain somebody’s letters . . . (winks) 36 PAGES?!?!?!??!!!! IS THAT MINE?!?!?! If so . . . you just blew my mind. That. Is. Crazy. I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT!!! And yes, swapping stories is fun. With you, at least. 😉 Not a lot of other people have seen me attempt to do fiction . . . :O But you, however, are an excellent writer, and I am always looking forward to reading your stuff! “Sending/receiving encouragement”, huh? You mean when I preach to you? (laughs)

    1. Ha, ha, ha! *laughs* Thanks! *laughs* Who else would it be?! I was wondering if you would see this post before I got a chance to email you personally. *laughs* We-e-e-ell, I don’t send a lot of my writing to many people either. *laughs* Ha, ha! You know I love hearing you “preach”.
