Minnesota Travels

Well, I’m sitting here at my computer, wondering when pressing keys on a keyboard became so exhausting. I ran a brush through my hair this morning, but was too tired to finish the ritual and ended up leaving my hair alone for the moment. I’m curled up in a sweatshirt, hoping that no one notices the bags under my eyes.

Still, I couldn’t be happier.

On July 7th, we girls and Dovid flew back to Minnesota to finish up orthodontics. We left at seven and drove three hours to the airport.

Hattush and I waiting on the plane. Believe me, wearing a mask for 3+ hours is not ideal.
Dovid had been running crazy around the airport, so I think we were all relieved when he fell asleep pretty quickly.

When we finally took off, the plane was so loud that the only bands I could hear in my headphones were Skillet and Fit For A King. XD Still . . .

I didn’t take a lot of pictures in Minnesota, but I think it’s safe to say that we had a LOT of fun! We went to a toy store and picked out a bunch of toys for the kids. Hattush and I each bought a piece of laffy taffy. Afterwards, we drove to Panera and tried to figure out our new game. It didn’t really work, but it was fun to laugh at the cute pictures.

We collapsed in our hotel room that night. I slept until 6:30, after which I read my new book, The Reason by Lacey Sturm, until everyone else woke up. 😉

Long story short, we went to the orthodontics place and Hattush and I got our braces removed. Hattush had already had her expander removed, but I got mine removed on this trip, along with the braces.

After walking around downtown for a bit, getting ice cream at Nelsons (which you NEED to try if you’re ever in Minnesota), and returning the rental car, we headed back to the airport for our flight home.

Driving home!!! Dovid is adorable in this picture . . . Hattush is pretty cute, too, though. XD
We arrived home yesterday and it was so nice to see everyone again! Baruch kept asking what I missed most about him. Yoveil was excited to see that Hattush and I had bought toys for her while we were gone. I was relieved to be back with my guinea pigs and I think Hattush felt the same way about her sugar gliders.

All in all, I had a really good time. It was awesome to be able to spend girl time together and I learned way more than I had expected on this trip.

Have a great day!
